Two separate yet similar condominium towers have been designed to replace the pre-existing Sudbury General Hospital. The design of the condominiums is composed of two phases. While both phases are occurring simultaneously, each involves a separate tower. Phase 1 consists of renovating the remaining portions and expanding upon the existing hospital. Phase 2 is a new 8-storey condominium tower that balances the mass of the existing hospital, in total approximately 200 residential suites will form part of this development. With a combined overall building area of approximately 350,000 square feet, each suite will range from 1200-1900 square feet in floor area. A key component within the overall design is to incorporate a large amount of glazing so residents may gaze upon the neighboring Bell Park and Lake Ramsey. A parking garage has also been designed to incorporate enough space for both residents and future guests. An underground tunnel connects the two phases.
